What this blog is about?

Russia.

The cold and mysterious country where people drink vodka, eat caviar, play balalaika and bears are free to roam streets in Moscow. A country, where - according to USA’s wide arrangement of computer games - everyone are either a renowned terrorist or a badass communist killer.

We all know there are myths about nearly any given country. France is where people eat frogs and gawk at Eiffel Tower, Italy is where they’re getting stuffed by pizza and everyone are screaming instead of speaking, and Germany is where everyone have a nice car. And don’t even start me on Canada and USA! I’m sure you agree that those myths about YOUR country are untrue.

But have you ever wondered, what Russian is like? What kind of life are they having in that frozen vast place of theirs? And, what the hell, is it really that cold in Russia as the myths are saying? Well, I’m Russian and I’m sick and tired of the lack of credible information about my homeland. So, here it goes: this blog is about Russia.

What we do here, how we live, what has happened here and what cool stuff is here to see. I must warn you, thought, that i lived for my whole life in just one region, so many my observations apply to just this given region. You see, Russia is such a big place, that different cities can be as different countries – my city and Moscow are probably as different, as London and Las Vegas would be.

So I’m not exactly the best guide if you’re going to Moscow on a vacation, but if you want to know what’s the “real” Russia is about – this is the place for you.

If you have any questions about anything, leave comments and i will happily answer them!

I have another blog (the one i consider primary, because it was started earlier) about online games, so if you want to know who exactly i am, you can read that blog’s About Me page here.
